Who is this blended first aid at work training for?

This blended first aid at work course is for businesses that need a qualified first aider, but also need flexibility in how that course is taught.

How is the blended first aid at work training assessed?

At the end of the course there will be a multiple question test, which the delegate will need to pass in order to receive the certification. Our expert trainers will assess delegates according to HSE guidelines during first aid training. They use practical demos, hands-on activities, and Q&A sessions.

Certificate

A successful delegate will receive a certificate valid for three years after completing the training.

Yes, this blended FAWC qualification is exactly the same as the standard workplace first aid course which enables delegates to be qualified first aiders. This training course is simply intended to provide more flexibility for delegates. We appreciate that it is not always easy to take three days out of the business. We want to make it easier for you to keep your workplace first aid safe.

Employers are legally required to provide sufficient first aid for their employees. This usually entails training certain staff members to become qualified first aiders. The First Aid at Work course is a popular choice, as it covers a range of emergency situations that could lead to a health crisis. Delegates who complete the course are also qualified workplace first aiders.

Blended learning offers several benefits, combining the flexibility of e-learning with the personal interaction of a traditional classroom setting. It allows learners to work at their own pace while still benefiting from face-to-face guidance and support. Additionally, blended learning can enable delegates to better optimise their time around becoming qualified first aiders, which is beneficial to your business.

Indeed, just like our 3-day FAWC course, delivered entirely in person, this blended course is also a Level 3 qualification under the Recognised Qualifications Framework. A Level 3 qualification is required to become a certified first aider.

The online modules of this FAWC course is self-directed and should take about a day to finish. You can complete the modules at your own pace and in your preferred setting, offering you the flexibility you require. The online training must be completed within six weeks prior to your face-to-face session.

Your colleagues can learn at their own pace, whether in the workplace or at home, depending on what best suits their learning preferences. The virtual scenarios offer a step-by-step learning experience, helping to reinforce knowledge and build confidence.

Our blended learning option offers the flexibility to complete part of the course online, reducing the time spent away from the learner’s workplace and providing greater convenience.

St John Ambulance Cymru has training centres located across Wales. We can also deliver the face-to-face training at your business should a number of your employees require training. Get in touch for more details.
