The Circuit

There are more than 30,000 out-of-hospital cardiac arrests every year in the UK, but less than 1 in 10 people survive.

Lives are needlessly being lost due to publicly available defibrillators not being used in emergencies. CPR and defibrillation can more than double someone’s chance of survival. For this reason, we are encouraging as many people as possible to register their defibrillators on The Circuit. 

What is The Circuit?

The Circuit is a national defibrillator network that provides a national overview of where defibrillators can be found.

If registered on The Circuit – the national defibrillator network, every ambulance service in the UK will be able to direct bystanders to the nearest life-saving defibrillator. 

St John Ambulance Cymru is very proud to partner with the British Heart Foundation, the Association of Ambulance Chief Executives and the Resuscitation Council UK to increase the number of lives saved by the use of a defibrillator in the UK.
